Cleanliness definitely can improve—carpets looked worn and were dirty enough to sully your socks. The AC unit was excessively noisy, which could be disruptive if you're a light sleeper. Wi-Fi connectivity was poor and inconsistent. it booted me frequently, making it hard to stay connected. The sofa in the suite had seen better days, lacking comfort and showing signs of wear. Although the location is convenient, the parking lot felt unsafe at night, with instances of suspicious vehicles making their rounds.

Needs a little TLC

So, I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner. The room was fine, but the carpets were pretty gross. I mean, there were stains everywhere. The breakfast was decent, which was a plus, but when I asked for extra pillows, they never showed up! Just a bit frustrating. At least the bed was comfy.

Great Location and Clean Rooms

The hotel is ideally located near South Congress and S Lamar, with easy access to I-35 and everything Austin has to offer. My room was neat and comfortable, which made for an enjoyable stay. However, the breakfast area could use some extra attention to ensure cleanliness and freshness.

the holiday inn express had very clean rooms and comfy beds. the complimentary coffee and fruit were a nice touch. i loved the location, which is close to laundry facilities. the breakfast was great, especially the service provided by the breakfast staff—they really kept everything fresh and welcoming.
